Cookie policy
This page explains exactly what Epitextual stores in your browser and why. We use no advertising cookies, no cross-site trackers, and we never sell data.
What cookies are
Cookies and similar browser storage are small pieces of data a site saves on your device. Epitextual only uses browser local storage for the items listed below — no marketing cookies are set.
What we store
| Name | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| epitextual_lang | Remembers the language you picked in the flag menu. | 12 months |
| epitextual.cookieConsent | Remembers your cookie choice so we stop asking. | Until you clear it |
| epitextual_consent | Lets our server know your consent choice so nothing is measured before you agree. | 6 months |
| Sign-in session | Keeps you signed in to your account area. | Until you sign out |
Page counts
When you allow it, a portfolio page view is counted on our server with a rotating, non-reversible hash. No identifier is stored in your browser and no profile is built.
Third parties
If you upgrade to a paid plan, our payment provider Paddle sets its own cookies on its checkout to process the payment securely. No other third party receives your data.
Legal basis and consent
Essential storage is used on the basis of our legitimate interest in delivering the site you requested. Everything else — page counts and optional third-party embeds — is only used with your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)). Nothing optional runs before you accept, refusing is as easy as accepting, and refusing has no effect on your use of the site. You can withdraw consent at any time on the cookie preferences page.
Retention
Page-count records are stored in aggregate form with a daily-rotating, non-reversible visitor hash and are kept for at most 12 months. Your consent choice is stored for 6 months, after which we ask again.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, erase, restrict and object to processing of your personal data, and to lodge a complaint with your data protection authority (in Sweden, IMY). Contact us at privacy@epitextual.com to exercise these rights.
Your control
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time on the cookie preferences page, or clear site data in your browser settings.
